BAGHDAD —AlGhad— The Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmad Mahjoub Stated today, Saturday, that the Iraqi envoy to the United Nations (UN) has foiled the Israeli attempts to land a seat at the UN Security Council, based on recent and repetitive violations of Palestinian humanitarian and religious rights.

Mahjoub’s statement, a copy of which was acquired by AlGhad, said that Foreign minister Ibrahim Jafari led the effort.

He conveyed to numerous Arab and foreign officials the common humanitarian concern of the Israelis recurrent breaches. He also urged the international community to oppose the representation of occupation and apartheid in the Security Council, according to the statement.
