AMMAN —AlGhad— The Council of Ministers decided today, Sunday, to pin fuel prices for the current month of July, while boosting electric power prices by JOD0.007 per kilowatt per hour on consumption rates exceeding 300 kilowatts per hour.

The government also pledged to disclose the weekly global price index of oil for better transparency and disclosure.

Accordingly, the price per kilowatt per hour exceeding the 300 kilowatt/hour will increase to JOD0.024 per kilowatt/hour, from JOD0.017 per kilowatt/hour.

Fuel prices stand as follows:

-          JOD0.815 per litre of 95-Octane fuel

-          JOD1.050 per litre of 95-Octane fuel

-          JOD0.615 per litre of diesel and kerosene

Household gas canisters remain at JOD7.00 per tube.

The price setting will probably remain fixed until the end of July, and may change according to fluctuations in the average global oil price index.
