Inflation Up 3.3% in 11 Months

AMMAN —AlGhad— The average consumer price index (inflation rate) has increased by 3.3 per cent during the first 11 months of the year, 2017, compared to 0.9 per cent for the same duration in 2016.

According to the figures by the Department of General Statistics, transportation, healthcare, tobacco, vegetables and rent have seen the highest increase in prices, at 13, 8.7, 8, 5.2, and 5.2 per cent, respectively.

On the other hand, meats and poultry, fruits, clothing and grains have seen the largest dips in prices, by 5.5, 3.2, 2.9, and 0.2 per cent, respectively.
