AMMAN — Prime Minister, Hani Mulqi, Tuesday, received a Turkish trade delegation headed by President of the Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, Rifat Oglu, to look into prospects of boosting trade ties between the two countries.

At the meeting, the premier pointed to challenges facing the two countries as a result of interruption of the trade route between them.

"Bolstering Jordanian-Turkish trade ties is possible through using alternative crossing points and benefiting from investment opportunities and incentives in the Kingdom", said the premier.

The Turkish official said his country was interestingly monitoring the reforms Jordan carried out, noting that both countries have similar challenges with regard to their geopolitical position or scarcity of natural resources.

"The free trade agreement, including visa exemptions, had contributed to strengthening relations and communication between the two countries", said Oglu.

He stressed that the delegation, which includes 50 of the leading representatives of Turkish companies, is keen on promoting investments, taking advantage of the opportunities available for cooperation.
