DUBAI — The Jordanian Consul in Dubai, Saied Radaideh, and the Chairman of the Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA), Omar Abu Wishah, opened the Jordanian pavilion at the five-day Gulfood Exhibition 2018, which kicked off Sunday evening in Dubai, UAE.

45 local companies working in the food industry are taking part in the Jordanian pavilion, organized by the (JEA), and showcase dairy, meat, juice and other food products.

Radaideh said the Jordanian participation in the Gulfood Exhibition 2018 helps highlight high quality and noticeable development the national industry has achieved, and noted the event represents an important opportunity to market Jordanian products and to keep in pace with the latest advances in this field.

He lauded the crucial role played by the (JEA) in organizing Jordan's annual participation in the activities of this show.

In turn, Abu Wishah, who heads the Jordanian delegation, said the association is organizing the 14th Jordanian participation to provide the opportunity to market national products.

This event is also important to help Jordanian companies create acquaintances with world business leaders participating in the exhibition; and is key to exchange relevant expertise and to strike business deals, Abu Wishah added.

He said the 800-square meters Jordanian pavilion is the largest at the pan-Arab level and the association was keen on the attendance of three Jordanian businesswomen in a bid to give them the opportunity to market their products and look into export opportunities, he explained.

He added the Jordanian pavilion has received attention of many world business entrepreneurs attending the exhibition, who expressed their admiration for the high level of Jordanian industry.

He pointed out the Dubai exhibition is the largest in the fields of production, food processing and packaging, and beverages in the region.

More than 5,000 exhibitors from around the world are taking part in the event, with 120 pavilions featuring the latest products and innovations of the food and hospitality industry.
