AMMAN —Al Ghad— So far, 5 donors have announced commitment to the provision of direct financial support for the ‘Two-Seas’ (Red Sea-Dead Sea) Canal project, according to the international donors conferences, which concluded Thursday December 1st, at a total of JOD283 million, between grants, facilitated loans, and aid in form of machinery, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation said Saturday.
Donors from the USA and the European Union (EU) include the USAID, the French Development Agency (AFD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), in addition to government grants and loans facilitated directly via the governments of Italy, Spain, and Japan.
