AMMAN —AlGhad— Premier Dr Omar Razzaz announced a bundle of decisions and bills today, Tuesday, during a press conference at the Prime Ministry, regarding measures on Jordan’s economic, social and service status.

The government will cut JOD150 million off this year’s expenditure, and will decide on the Hybrid Vehicles Tax issue within next week.

He also pledged to install a new programme for cancer patients to ensure their treatment is secure and their dignities intact.

The programme will authorise public health sector administrators to directly refer cancer patients to the Hussein Cancer centre and other respective specialised public sector facilities across Jordan, without having to go through the public health insurance directorate.

Razzaz also promised to revisit the civil and special resignation law, in regards to the Minister’s resignation especially.

Next week will see the issuance of an ethics covenant, he said, and all ministers will sign it.

The government will also launch an online platform to handle complaints and suggestions by citizens, the Premier said.

Regulations will be issued soon, he added, for the licensing of private schools, including controls on tuition hikes and teacher salary bank transfer obligations.

As for the MPs Motion to Pardon, Razzaz confirmed that the government is open to discussing the issue.
